Master Mental Subtraction with Dice War!
Dice War is a fast-paced, competitive maths game that turns simple arithmetic into an exciting battle. Perfect for Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2, it challenges children to compare numbers and perform quick mental subtraction calculations.
How to Play
- Roll to Battle: Click the big “ROLL!” button. You and the computer will both roll a die.
- Highest Wins: The player with the highest number wins the round.
- Calculate the Difference: To secure your victory (and a bonus point!), you must calculate the difference between the two numbers. For example, if you roll a 6 and the computer rolls a 2, the difference is 4.
- Bonus Points: Winning the roll gets you on the board, but answering the maths question correctly boosts your score even higher!
Educational Benefits
- Comparing Numbers: Quickly identifying which number is greater or less than another.
- Mental Subtraction: Developing fluency in finding the difference between single-digit numbers.
- Number Bonds: Reinforcing knowledge of number pairs and basic arithmetic facts.
