Time Traveller! The fabric of history is unraveling. In Chrono Crusade, you must navigate through different eras by mastering the skills of Telling Time.
Targeted at Year 3, this adventure spans from Ancient Rome to the Digital Future, testing your ability to read clocks, convert formats, and calculate durations.
⚙️ Mission Protocol
- Select Your Era: Choose to jump to Ancient Rome (Roman Numerals), the 20th Century (Analogue/Digital), or the Future (Durations).
- Solve the Paradox: Read the clock face or time problem presented.
- Input the Solution: Convert 12-hour to 24-hour time, or calculate how many minutes have passed.
- Stabilize the Vortex: Correct answers charge your Time Dilation Drive and earn XP!
⏳ Curriculum Focus (Time)
Chrono Crusade is calibrated to the Year 3 National Curriculum for Measurement (Time):
- Roman Numerals Tell and write the time from an analogue clock, including using Roman numerals from I to XII.
- 12-hour & 24-hour Estimate and read time with increasing accuracy to the nearest minute.
- Time Durations Compare durations of events [for example to calculate the time taken by particular events or tasks].
🌌 Temporal Tips
Mastering the Clock:
- "Remember: I, V, X are the key Roman numerals (1, 5, 10)."
- "To convert pm to 24-hour time, just add 12 to the hour!" (e.g., 2pm + 12 = 14:00).
- Practice reading the time on real analogue clocks at home.
