Perimeter Paddock Guide
What is Perimeter?
Perimeter is the total distance around the outside of a shape. Imagine walking along the fence of a paddockâthe total distance you walk is the perimeter.
How to Play
- Look at the shape shown on the blueprint.
- Find the length of each side.
- Add up all the lengths to find the total.
- Type your answer into the keypad and press BUILD.
Tricky Shapes!
Sometimes you will see a shape that looks like an 'L'.
Simply start at one corner and add the sides one by one as you go around: 5 + 2 + 3 + 2 + 8 + 4...
In this game, all sides are labeled for you to start with!
Curriculum Goal: Measure and calculate the perimeter of a rectilinear figure (including squares) in centimetres and metres.
