Targeting Year 2 and 3, it helps children understand that fractions aren't just slices of a pizza—they are also a way to divide groups of objects (finding fractions of a set).

Finding "1/4 of 12" is hard to do in your head if you've only ever cut up cakes.
This game connects the "part-whole" relationship. The whole is the flock of 12. The part is the 3 sheep you shear. It visually demonstrates that the denominator (bottom number) tells you how many equal groups to share into.
