🧠 Conversion Methods
Mixed → Improper
Example: Convert 3 ⅖ to improper fraction
- Multiply whole number by denominator: 3 × 5 = 15
- Add the numerator: 15 + 2 = 17
- Keep the same denominator: 17/5
Improper → Mixed
Example: Convert 23/4 to mixed number
- Divide numerator by denominator: 23 ÷ 4 = 5 remainder 3
- Whole number is the quotient: 5
- Fraction is remainder/denominator: 5 ¾
